The Aruba Investment Agency distances itself from fraudulent investment schemes
The Aruba Investment Agency (ARINA), a unit of the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI), distances itself from recent fraudulent activities being carried out under the false pretense of our name. It has come to our attention that a fraudulent business is using the ARINA name, along with the likeness and names of prominent figures, such as the Prime Minister of Aruba and the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and Primary Sector, to mislead the public into trading in stocks and other financial products. We want to make it explicitly clear that ARINA does not engage in, promote, or facilitate any trading in stocks, cryptocurrencies, or any other financial instruments. ARINA does not solicit investments from the public and is not affiliated in any way with these schemes or with any AI-generated videos or calls falsely claiming to represent us or the Government of Aruba.
ARINA’s official role and mandate
ARINA is the official investment promotion unit of the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry of Aruba. Our core mission is to support and guide foreign (and local) investors who are interested in establishing operations in Aruba. We provide accurate and professional information on investment procedures, including business registration, permits, land allocation, sector-specific opportunities, and government regulations.
We work to create a trustworthy, transparent, and welcoming investment climate for sustainable economic development in Aruba. Therefore, we urge the public to remain vigilant and not fall victim to misleading messages or impersonations involving our agency, government officials, or the Government of Aruba. If you receive suspicious calls, messages, or videos claiming to be from ARINA or a government representative asking you to invest in stocks or cryptocurrencies, please report them immediately to the appropriate authorities.
