Aruba’s Autentico Culinary Festival Returns, Celebrating Culture, Community and Global Flavors
Oranjestad is preparing to transform into the Culinary Capital of Aruba as it hosts the second edition of the island’s signature food festival: Autentico. From October 11–19, 2025, locals and visitors alike will come together for a weeklong celebration of flavors, creativity, and cultural diversity. This year’s festival will showcase the island’s rich gastronomy and the many influences shaped by Aruba’s more than 100 nationalities. With events spanning the entire week, including Restaurant Week, exclusive bucket-list dining experiences, and the grand finale Culinary Pavilion along Wilhelminastraat in downtown Oranjestad, Autentico shines a spotlight on Aruba’s restaurants as the beating heart of the island’s food culture.
A Festival That Transforms Oranjestad
By welcoming both internationally renowned chefs, such as Food Network star Christian Petroni, Peruvian Top 50 chef Jaime Pesaque, and Dutch Michelin-starred chef Tim Golsteijn, and Aruba’s own culinary talent, Autentico puts Oranjestad firmly on the map as a destination for global gastronomy. The highlight of the festival, the Culinary Pavilion (October 18–19), will turn downtown Oranjestad into an open-air culinary stage featuring more than 40 restaurants, beverage partners, and local vendors. Guests will enjoy beloved Aruban staples and innovative new creations, all while experiencing the unique atmosphere of the city center.
Why Oranjestad is the Place to Invest
Autentico is more than just a festival, it is part of Oranjestad’s transformation into the Culinary Capital of Aruba. With a vibrant dining culture, growing global recognition, and strong community engagement, the city is becoming the destination for unique and authentic culinary experiences.
For investors, Oranjestad offers many available buildings in the historic city center that can be transformed into restaurants, cafés, and creative culinary spaces. The success of Autentico demonstrates the demand for diverse dining options and confirms Oranjestad’s role as the island’s culinary showcase.
