Aruba Advances Digital Transformation with Online Tax Declaration System

December 23, 2025

Aruba is strengthening its position as a modern, business-friendly destination by launching a fully digital income tax declaration system for the 2025 fiscal year. Minister of Finance, Economy, and Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever emphasized that this initiative marks a key milestone in the island’s ongoing modernization and digital transformation efforts.

Streamlined Process for Residents and Businesses

The new system allows residents and businesses to submit their income tax declarations entirely online. As a result, the process will be faster, easier, and more accurate. In addition, automating tax processing reduces administrative costs, improves compliance, and enhances the quality of financial data.

Government Commitment to Innovation

Minister Wever stated, “Digitalizing the income tax declaration process brings efficiency and transparency that benefits both taxpayers and government operations.” Moreover, the project has a dedicated budget allocation of 3.1 million Aruban florins. This funding demonstrates the government’s commitment to innovation and modernization.

What This Means for Investors

For investors, this development signals that Aruba prioritizes transparency, efficiency, and a reliable business environment. Furthermore, improving government systems and embracing digital solutions strengthens the foundation for sustainable economic growth and creates new investment opportunities.

Integrated and Future-Ready System

The online system integrates with the BOi portal, connecting data from the national census and other government databases. Therefore, users will enjoy a seamless, automated experience. By 2026, all residents will submit their income tax declarations digitally. This change reflects Aruba’s dedication to efficiency, transparency, and a future-ready economy.
