Joselin Sheran Croes, LL.M, MSc
Director of the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba in the Netherlands
Ms. Croes is dedicated to promoting and creating opportunities for Aruba and Arubans with partners in the Netherlands and the rest of the world, with a particular focus on sustainable development, innovation, education, culture, and economic relations. She also strives to increase the Aruban diaspora’s participation in the development of the nation’s economy and society.
As the current Director of the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba in the Netherlands, Ms. Croes hopes to lead the Cabinet in achieving their mission and milestones.
Prior to this, Ms. Croes served as the Minister Plenipotentiary of Aruba in the United States, where she represented Aruba in all matters related to enhancing the relationship between the USA and Aruba. Ms. Croes also served as Aruba’s Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice, Safety, and Integration. She practiced law from 2010 to 2017. From 1999 until 2010, she was Aruba Lottery’s Sales and Marketing Director and from 1996 until 1999, she worked at Aruba’s Central Bureau of Statistics as an import and export data analyst.
While being married, the mother of two young children and working full-time, Ms. Croes obtained her Master’s Degree in Environmental Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2021, and a Master’s Degree in Aruban Law at the University of Aruba in 2009. In 1996, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Management and Public Relations from the Intercollege in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Ms. Croes, who speaks four languages, works with determination, and shows positivism, passion, and discipline in achieving ambitious goals. As a founding member of the Aruba Circular Economy Foundation, Ms. Croes hopes to help her island and other small island developing states transition towards a circular economy and reach zero waste and zero carbon emissions. As a member of the Board of Advisors of The Ocean Foundation, she hopes to contribute to the cause, given her love and passion for clean and healthy oceans.
